Rivers State recorded 76 new cases of covid-19 yestersay. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,126 with 11,613 discharged and 154 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Wednesday.

In total, Nigeria recorded 473 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with -126, Rivers-76, Kwara-44, FCT-37, Edo-32, Kaduna-30, Anambra-22, Delta-22, Osun-12, Benue-7, Abia-6, Nasarawa-6, Kano-5, Ekiti-3, Plateau -3, Bayelsa-2, Ogun-2 and Oyo-2.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 205,484 with 193,482 discharged and 2,701 deaths.

The NCDC has said obeying all covid-19, protocols is key to curbing the spread of the deadly virus.
