Rivers State recorded no new cases of the COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 930 with 440 discharged and 35 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Nigeria had 452 new cases of the virus yesterday. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with- 209 Oyo-67 Delta-37 Ogun-36 FCT-22 Abia-20 Enugu-16 Bauchi-15 Kaduna-8 Ondo-8 Osun-7 Imo-3 Benue-3; and Borno-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 21,371 with 7,338 discharged and 533 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure. The commission advised Nigerians not to panic over the increased cases, as the country is on course to curb the spread of the virus.
