The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that the country will have to live with the dreaded COVID-19 for one year.

DG of the NCDC, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu made this known while speaking at the media briefing by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 in Abuja on Friday.

He said, Nigerians must learn to live with the virus for a year at the very least. He, therefore, urged residents to obey COVID-19 guidelines and protocols.

He warned hospitals to stop rejecting patients and learn to live with the situation. “patients being rejected in treatment centres and hospitals, that is regrettable and it is not what should be happening anymore.”
