Rivers State recorded 6 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,101 with 6,978 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 81 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 26, Enugu-13, Ogun-8, Rivers-6, Kano-6, Kaduna-5, Plateau-5, Akwa Ibom-4, Delta-3, FCT-3 and Edo-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 164,993 with 155,021 recovered patients, and 2,063 deaths.
The agency has said despite the scarcity of vaccines globally, it will not accept vaccines from unverified sources.
