Rivers State recorded no new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 3,328 with, 3083 discharged and 63 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country.

In total, Nigeria recorded 712 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – (388), FCT (77), Kwara (39), Katsina (35), Bauchi (33), Plateau (22), Ogun (18), Akwa Ibom (16), Delta (13), Kaduna (12), Osun (12), Yobe (11), Sokoto (10), Kebbi (cool, Enugu (6), Edo (5), Ondo (3), Niger (2), Kano (1), and Oyo (1).

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 82,747 with 70,239 recovered patients, and 1,246 deaths.

Meanwhile, the NCDC has stated that the virus, which causes COVID-19 is more likely to spread in mass gatherings especially when held indoors.
