Rivers State recorded 9 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,986 with 6,849 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19
In total, Nigeria recorded 71 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 24, Yobe-13, Rivers-9, Akwa Ibom-6, FCT-6, Kano-6, Osun-3, Delta-2, Jigawa-1 and Plateau-1
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 163,652 with 154,073 recovered patients, and 2,059 deaths.
The agency has advised Nigerians to continue obeying all COVID-19 protocols despite taking the jab.
