Rivers State recorded 41 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,597 with 6,253 discharged and 97 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 708 new Cases. Adamawa recorded the highest number with – 180, Lagos-141, Ondo-60, Anambra-54, Rivers-41, Taraba-33, Edo-30, Abia-22, Kaduna-22, FCT-21, Akwa Ibom-20, Kano-20, Plateau-11, Ekiti-10, Kebbi-10, Nasarawa-10, Bayelsa-7, Ogun-5, Osun-5, Oyo-5 and Gombe-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 157,671with 136,335 recovered patients, and 1,951 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has said that it is working closely with sister agencies like, the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and NAFDAC, as the #COVID19 vaccine is gradually introduced across States.
