Rivers State recorded 87 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 9,068 with 7,913 discharged and 109 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total Nigeria recorded 674 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 355, Rivers-87, FCT-38, Ogun-33, Akwa Ibom-32, Oyo-32, Edo-22, Ekiti-20, Kwara-17, Delta-12, Bayelsa-8, Gombe-5, Kaduna-4, Osun-4, Enugu-2, Nasarawa-2 and Plateau-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 185,267 with 167,923 recovered patients, and 2,244 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has urged Nigerians to continue to obey all Covid-19 protocols.
