Rivers State recorded 8 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,932 with 6,801 discharged and 100 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 66 new Cases. Enugu recorded the highest number with -18, Lagos-17, Kaduna-10, Rivers-8, Akwa Ibom-6, Kano-2, Osun-2, Jigawa-1, Plateau -1 and FCT-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 163,063 with 151,835 recovered patients, and 2,058 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has warned Nigerians to be careful and observe all COVID-19 protocols, as they travel during the Easter period to be with family and friends.
