Rivers State recorded 80 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10,162 with 8,704 discharged and 127 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Saturday.
In total Nigeria recorded 650 new cases. Lagos recorded the second highest number of cases with – 261, Ondo-95, Rivers -80, Akwa Ibom-59, Oyo-24, Ekiti-22, Delta-20, Edo-18, Enugu-15, Bayelsa-14, Ogun-11, Kaduna-8, Plateau-7, Kano-6, FCT-5, Gombe-3 and Abia-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 190,983 with 178,047 recovered patients, and 2,361 deaths.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State government has urged residents of the state yet to get vaccinated to do as it has no side effects.
