Rivers State recorded 70 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 9,772 with 8376 discharged and 121 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Wednesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 637 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 322, Rivers-70, Edo-54, Delta-34, Akwa Ibom-31, Kwara-31,FCT-29, Ekiti-17, Ogun-14, Osun-10, Kebbi-8,Cross River-5, Plateau-3, Taraba-3, Kaduna-2, Bayelsa-2, Benue-1, Enugu-1 and Kano-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 188,880 with 169,382 recovered patients, and 2,288 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has urged Nigerians to continue to obey all Covid-19 protocols.
