Rivers State recorded 143 new cases of Covid-19, yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10,467 with 9,055 discharged and 132 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 626 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 334, Rivers-134, Oyo-60, FCT-41, Osun-20, Plateau-14, Ogun-9, Ekiti-7, Kwara-6 and Benue-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 192,431 with 178,759 recovered patients, and 2,469 deaths.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State government has urged residents of the state yet to get vaccinated to do as it has no side effects.
