Rivers State recorded 73 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 9,514 with 8,214 discharged and 117 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Monday.
In total Nigeria recorded 565 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 205, Rivers-73, Ondo-63, FCT-53, Oyo-53, Ekiti-37, Delta-24, Edo-20, Benue-12, Bayelsa-6, Kwara-6, Osun-6, Ogun-5 and Adamawa-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 187,588 with 168,818 recovered patients, and 2,276 deaths.
The agency says it is doing everything within its power to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
