Rivers State recorded 1 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,110 with 6,994 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 55 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 21, Yobe-19, Ogun-6, Akwa Ibom-3, Kaduna-2, Plateau-2, FCT-1 and Rivers-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,110 with 155,101 recovered patients, and 2,063 deaths
The agency has said that it will not accept vaccines from unauthorized sources despite its scarcity globally.
