Rivers State recorded 83 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,762 with 7,377 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 505 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 273, Rivers-83, Oyo-45, Ondo-22, Cross River-18, Kaduna-13, Ogun-10Gombe-10, FCT-8, Ekiti-7, Delta-6, Bayelsa-3, Edo-2 and Niger-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 175,264 with 165,122 recovered patients, and 2,163 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has urged Nigerians to obey all covid-19 protocols as it has recorded 32 cases of the deadly Delta variant so far.
