Rivers State recorded 14 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,253 with 7049 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 45 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 27, Rivers-14, Kaduna-2, Jigawa-1 and Ekiti-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 166,191 with 156,535 recoverd patients, and 2,071 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a new variant.
