Rivers State recorded 38 new cases of Covid-19, yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10,701 with 9,465 discharged and 137 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Friday.
In total Nigeria recorded 444 new cases. Edo recorded the highest number of cases with -71, Akwa Ibom-49, Kwara-49, Oyo-49, Rivers-38, Kaduna-21, Ekiti-20, FCT-19, Kastina-19 Anambra-17, Delta-16, Kano-16, Bauchi-14, Ogun-11, Bayelsa-9, Benue-9, Cross River-7, Nasarawa-5, Jigawa-2, Zamfara-2 and Enugu-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 194,088 with 179,679 recovered patients, and 2,495 deaths.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization has rated Nigeria’s response to the pandemic as one of the best globally.
