Rivers State recorded 14 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,148 with 7034 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 44 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 28, Rivers-14, Akwa Ibom-1 and. Ekiti-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,559 with 156,374 recovered patients, and 2,066 deaths
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as their is an emergence of a new variant.
