Rivers State recorded 7 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,222 with 7041 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 43 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 32, Rivers-7, FCT-2, Akwa Ibom-1 and Kaduna-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,944 with 156,462 recovered patients, and 2,067 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols, as there is an emergence of a new variant.
