Rivers State recorded 14 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,199 with 7041 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 43 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 19, Rivers-14, Kastina-5, Jigawa-3, Kano-1 and Oyo-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,852 with 156,456 recovered patients, and 2,067 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as their is an emergence of a new variant.
