Rivers State recorded 1 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,228 with 7048 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 42 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 14, Gombe-11, Ebonyi-5, Kano-5, FCT-4, Edo-1, Kaduna-1 and Rivers-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 166,061 with 156,492 recovered patients, and 2,067 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a new variant.
