Rivers State recorded 18 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,552 with 7,315 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 404 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 356, Rivers-18, FCT-7, Ekiti-5, Kaduna-5, Gombe-3, Kano-3, Edo-2, Ogun-2, Bayelsa-1, Plateau-1 and Nasarawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 171,728 with 164,837 recovered patients, and 2,134 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is a third wave of the deadly virus.
