Rivers State recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,334 with 7187 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Friday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 40 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 36, Rivers-2, Gombe-1 and Kano-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 167,732 with 164,369 recovered patients, and 2,121 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
