Rivers State recorded 5 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,767 with 6,438 discharged and 97 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 399 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 101, Anambra-96, Edo-50, Abia-29, Imo-28, Ogun-19, Akwa Ibom-16, Kaduna-13, FCT-7, Bayelsa-6, Kano-6, Oyo-6, Delta-5, Rivers-5, Nasarawa-4, Ebonyi-3, Osun-3 and Gombe-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 160,332 with 144,059 recovered patients, and 2,009 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has said that it is working closely with sister agencies like, the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and NAFDAC, as the #COVID19 vaccine is gradually introduced across states.
