Rivers State recorded 7 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10,169 with 8,769 discharged and 127 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Sunday.
In total Nigeria recorded 362 new cases. Lagos recorded the second highest number of cases with – 200, Oyo-33, Kwara-30, Akwa Ibom-24, Ogun-17, Delta-15, Ekiti-15, Plateau-7, Rivers-7, FCT-5, Anambra-3, Edo-3, Bayelsa-1, Kaduna-1 and Kano-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 191,345, 178,283 recovered patients, and 2,454 deaths.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State government has urged residents of the state yet to get vaccinated to do as it has no side effects.
