Rivers State recorded 23 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,718 with 6,352 discharged and 97 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 346 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 86, Bauchi-64, Kaduna-26, Kwara-26, FCT-24, Rivers-23, Plateau-22, Ogun-16, Ebonyi-14, Bayelsa-12, Cross River-10, Edo-8, Akwa Ibom-5, Ekiti-3, Gombe-2, Kano-2, Osun-2 and Delta-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 159,252 with 139,056 recovered patients, and 1,988 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has said that it is working closely with sister agencies like, the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and NAFDAC, as the #COVID19 vaccine is gradually introduced across states.
