Rivers State recorded 4 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,226 with 7041 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 34 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 9, Kano-8, Yobe-7, Rivers-4, Akwa Ibom-3, FCT-2 and Katsina-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,979 with 156,468 recovered patients, and 2,067 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as their is an emergence of a new variant.
