Rivers State recorded 32 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,477 with 7,287 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Friday.
In total Nigeria recorded 317 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 172, Akwa Ibom-62, Oyo-33, Rivers-32, Ekiti-5, FCT-5, Ogun-3, Sokoto-2, Bayelsa-1, Gombe-1 and Kano-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 170,623 with 164,780 recovered patients, and 2,131 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is a third wave of the deadly virus.
