Rivers State recorded 34 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,511 with 7,288 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Saturday.
In total Nigeria recorded 272 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 182, Rivers-34, Ondo-24, Oyo-10, Abia-7, Ogun-7, Ekiti-5, Delta-2 and Plateau-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 170,895 with 164,788 recovered patients, and 2,132 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is a third wave of the deadly virus.
