Rivers State recorded 22 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,680 with 6,294 discharged and 97 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 269 new Cases. Enugu recorded the highest number with – 78, Bauchi-37, Rivers-22, Imo-18, Ogun-16, FCT-15, Akwa Ibom-13, Kaduna-13, Kebbi-11, Kwara-9, Edo-7, Ekiti-6, Borno-5, Yobe-5, Kano-4, Nasarawa-3, Osun-3, Anambra-2 and Plateau-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 158,506 with 137,875 recovered patients, and 1,969 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has said that it is working closely with sister agencies like, the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and NAFDAC, as the #COVID19 vaccine is gradually introduced across States.
