Rivers State recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,280 with 7157 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Friday.
In total, Nigeria recordeded 24 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with -12, Gombe-6, FCT-2, Kaduna-2 and Rivers-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 167,051 with 163,430 recoverd patients, and 2,117 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
