Rivers State recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,813 with 6,477 discharged and 97 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 238 new Cases. Ondo recorded the highest number with – 72, Kwara-28, Bauchi-19, Kaduna-19, Edo-17, Ogun-15, Nasarawa-13, Rivers-10, FCT-9, Ondo-8, Akwa Ibom-5, Gombe-5, Niger-5, Osun-5, Plateau-4, Oyo-3 and Kano-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 160,895 with 145,752 recovered patients, and 2,016 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has said that the Astrazeneca vaccine is safe and has no side effects.
