Rivers State recorded 9 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,876 with 6,689 discharged and 98 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 214 new Cases. Adamawa recorded the highest number with – 109, Lagos-33, Bauchi-26, Kaduna-9, Rivers-9, FCT-7, Oyo-7, Gombe-5, Ebonyi-4, Osun-3, Ekiti-1 and Ogun-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 162,076 with 148,530 recovered patients, and 2031 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has advised Nigerians to take the jab as it is safe and has no side effects.
