COVID-19: Nigeria Records 195 New Cases, Rivers 7

Rivers State recorded 7 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,658 with 6,290 discharged and 97 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.

In total, Nigeria recorded 195 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 70, Kaduna-22, Abia-20, Edo-18, Kano-10, Akwa Ibom-9, Rivers-7, FCT-7, Borno-6, Bauchi-5, Osun-5, Oyo-5, Plateau-3, Ekiti-3, Niger-2, Ogun-2 and Zamfara-1.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 158,237 with 137,645 recovered patients, and 1,964 deaths.

Meanwhile, the agency has said that it is working closely with sister agencies like, the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and NAFDAC, as the #COVID19 vaccine is gradually introduced across States.
