Rivers State recorded 27 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,445 with 7,274 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total Nigeria recorded 184 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 124, Rivers-27, Sokoto-9, FCT-8, Oyo-6, Ekiti-5, Delta-4, Plateau-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 170,306 with 164,772 recovered patients, and 2,130 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is a third wave of the deadly virus.
