Rivers State recorded 99 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 4,844 with, 3,896 discharged and 78 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 1,633 new cases, being its highest daily figure. Kaduna state recorded the highest number with – Lagos-498, Plateau-214, FCT-176, Rivers-99, Kaduna-98, Edo-87, Anambra-86, Akwa Ibom-50, Osun-47, Kano-40, Oyo-40, Kwara-39, Ebonyi-28, Niger-28, Taraba-28, Ogun-27, Ondo-21, Ekiti-12, Katsina-7, Borno-6 and Delta-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 120,602 with 95,901 recovered patients, and 1,502 deaths.
The Commission has urged anyone showing symptoms associated with #COVID19, to self-isolate & take steps to get tested.
