Rivers State recorded 68 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 3,886 with, 3,318 discharged and 67 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country.
In total, Nigeria recorded 1,585 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 573, FCT-182, Plateau-162, Gombe-81, Oyo-75, Rivers-68, Sokoto-58, Ondo-55, Ogun-42, Nasarawa-40, Akwa Ibom-36, Edo-31, Kaduna-27, Anambra-22, Delta-19, Kano-17, Osun-17, Ebonyi-16, Katsina-14, Niger-14, Bayelsa-9, EKiti-8, Borno-7, Jigawa-5, Abia-4 and Bauchi-3.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 99,063 with 79,417 recovered patients, and 1,350 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC, has said that mosquito control helps reduce the risk of Yellow fever infection.
The commission urge Nigerians to ensure they: Get rid of stagnant water, Keep their environments clean, Keep water containers covered properly and wear protective clothes when they sleep at nights.
