Rivers State recorded 1 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,099 with 6,951 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 156 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 50, Enugu-43, Adamawa-40, FCT-8, Ogun-5, Akwa Ibom-3, Plateau-3, Jigawa-1, Kaduna-1, Oyo-1 and Rivers-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 164,912 with 155,012 recovered patients, and 2,063 deaths.
The agency has advised Nigerians to continue to obey all COVID-19 protocols despite taking the vaccine.
