Rivers State recorded 5 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,356 with 7,210 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 146 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 110, Enugu-18, Oyo-7, Rivers-5, Gombe-3, FCT-2 and Kaduna-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 168,256 with 164,415 recovered patients, and 2,122 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to take the vaccines as it is safe with no side effects.
