Rivers State recorded 1 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,416 with 7,259 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Sunday.
In total Nigeria recorded 146 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 134, Ondo-3, Cross River-2, FCT-2, Kwara-2, Ogun-1, Oyo-1 and Rivers-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 169,678 with 164,710 recovered patients, and 2,128 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
