Rivers state recorded 37 new cases of covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 3,639 with, 3,249 discharged and 64 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its twitter handle, during its daily update of covid-19 in the country.
In total, Nigeria recorded 1354 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with -712, FCT-145, Plateau-117, Kwara-81, Kaduna-54, Sokoto-39, Oyo-38, Rivers-37, Gombe-21, Enugu-20, Akwa Ibom-16, Bauchi14, Delta-14, Ebonyi-13, Anambra-9, Taraba-8, Edo-8, Kano-3, Osun-2, Ekiti-2 and Ogun-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 92,705 with 76,396 recovered patients, and 1,319 deaths.
The NCDC has said that employers & business owners have a responsibility to ensure: Employees & customers wear a face mask, provision of handwashing facilities, limit the number of people in office spaces per time, offices are well ventilated and regular disinfection of frequently touched surfaces.
