Rivers State recorded 1 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,270 with 7113 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 122 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with -Lagos-105, Imo-4, Kaduna-4, Akwa Ibom-3, FCT-2, Delta-1, Rivers-1, Oyo-1 and Ekiti-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 166,682 with 162,521 recoverd patients, and 2,117 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
