Rivers State recorded 25 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,803 with 6,457 discharged and 97 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 120 new Cases. Ondo recorded the highest number with – 32, Rivers-25, Kaduna-20, Bayelsa-13, Kano-7, Jigawa-5, Borno-5, Abia-4, Oyo-3, Plateau-2, FCT-1, Ogun-1, Nasarawa-1 and Imo-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 160,657 with 145,399 recovered patients, and 2,013 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has said that the Astrazeneca vaccine is safe and has no side effects.
