Rivers State recorded 27 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 3,913 with, 3,367 discharged and 67 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country.
In total, Nigeria recorded 1,024 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – (653), Plateau (63), Benue (48), Zamfara (45), FCT (42), Rivers (27), Ondo (26), Adamawa (26), Kaduna (22), Edo (18), Ogun (16), Imo (12), Kano (9), Yobe (6), Ekiti (5), Jigawa (4) and Osun (2).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 100,087 with 80,030 recovered patients, and 1,358 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC, has said that mosquito control helps reduce the risk of Yellow fever infection.
