The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that the new strains of COVID-19, virus are not a cause for worry.
Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Chikwe Ihekweazu disclosed this during a news briefing of the World Health Organization.
Ihekweazu stated that the new variants could be cause for worry, when they are associated with increased transmission.
He urged Nigerians to stop disobeying the guidelines on COVID-19, as it is key to reducing the spread of the dreaded virus.
