The Federal Government of Nigeria, has threatened to shutdown any National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Orientation Camp that fails to comply with all guidelines on COVID-19.
Sunday Dare, Minister of Youths and Sports, made this known during the briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, in Abuja, on Monday.
He said if any camp is closed, the affected corps members would be reposted to other states.
Dare stated that over 700 corps members from the current batch have tested, positive for the virus.
“Any orientation camp that is not obeying the protocol will simply be closed as the NYSC cannot afford to risk the lives and health of corps members,” he said.
