The Federal Government of Nigeria has said that it is currently negotiating with China, in order to have access to COVID-19 vaccines.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama, disclosed this to journalists yesterday, after a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in Abuja.
“China is also one of those countries that have been able to discover vaccines for COVID-19, so we are also engaging with China to also help with regards to access to vaccines for our people” Onyema said.
“We have received a lot of support from China in the area of personal protective equipment that they were very quick to provide us with,” he added.
The minister who commended China for their support in fighting the virus, noted that the donation of protective equipments by the Chinese government has been of tremendous help in the fight against the dreaded virus.
