The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), has warned that fake COVID-19, vaccines can cause “covid-like” diseases and other chronicle ailments.
Mojisola Adeyeye, Director-General of the agency disclosed this during a media briefing today, in Abuja.
She stated that no government establishment or agencies should order the vaccines without confirming from the commission, if they have been approved.
She said, “Covid-19 vaccines are new, and the side effects or adverse events must be well monitored, therefore, if NAFDAC does not approve, the public should not use.
Adeyeye also warned the public to be aware of fake vaccines in the country, and pleaded with them to be careful, so as not to consume the harmful substance.
