The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, says 21 persons lost their lives to the dreaded COVID-19, on Christmas Day.
The commission made this known in a statement on Sunday.
It said 236014 cases have been confirmed while 212357 cases have been discharged and 3014 persons have died till date.
“No fewer than 21 people died of coronavirus on December 25 – Christmas Day,” it said.
“Till date, 236014 cases have been confirmed, 212357 cases have been discharged and 3014 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory,” the commission, added.
The NCDC, also revealed that 45 cases of the new omicron variant have been detected, and advised residents to obey all covid protocol.
