The Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has adjourned to May 26, 2025, a constitutional suit filed by former federal lawmaker and 2023 Rivers State governorship aspirant, Dr. Farah Dagogo. The suit challenges President Bola Tinubu’s suspension of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Professor Ngozi Odu, and all members of the state’s House of Assembly.
At Monday’s hearing, counsel to the plaintiff, Cosmas Enweluzo, SAN, told the court that all defendants had been duly served and that the case was ready for hearing.
The defendants named in the suit include President Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, the Nigerian Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and Ibas.
